Joel Schneider is responsible for providing management consulting services and strategic counseling for mid-market organizations at Liberty Technology Advisors, LLC. Since co-founding LTA in 1995, Joel has assisted hundreds of clients to help them achieve their strategic and operational goals. Joel has over 25 years of experience as a management consultant with a specialty in information systems and operations management. Joel has extensive experience in strategic systems planning, identifying needs and implementing systems that achieve his clients’ objectives. Joel’s role at LTA is to “live and breathe” ERP. Joel stays on top of the developments in the ERP industry and assists clients in developing the best ERP strategy to meet his clients current and future business requirements. Joel brings energy and focus to client projects and delivers specific advice to help clients meet their business objectives. Joel is a senior executive with progressive experience in management consulting, systems and software integration, business process optimization and information technology strategy consulting. Significant experience in middle market companies focusing on Manufacturing, Distribution, Process, Food & Beverage and Consumer Products industries.
Joel’s background includes programming, systems design and development, organizational consulting, IT director, president of a software development company and management consulting.

At Friedman, Eisenstein, Raemer & Schwartz, CPA, a large local accounting firm, Joel was Responsible for the manufacturing and distribution information technology consulting group. Also at FERS, Joel was the President, ISI Infortext (a FERS company). At ISI, Joel was Responsible for all aspects of the $12 million manufacturing and distribution company including sales, product development, finance, engineering, customer service and administration. Joel led the company re-organization and turnaround from bankruptcy to a successful organization.
At Bricker & Associates, Inc, Joel was a Senior Manager where he managed and performed Managed various organizational and information technology consulting projects.
At Intertech Resources, Inc (Subsidiary of Evangelical Health Systems), Joel weas the director of Information Systems. Joel was responsible for all information systems for this manufacturing and distribution company. Joel successfully planned, evaluated, selected and implenmeted a new ERP solution for the multi-national company. He also planned and executed the move from California to Mexico and setup the systems and procedures to improve operations, distribution and customer service funcitons.
At Altschuler, Melvoin & Glasser, Joel was a Consultant where he was involved with numerous consulting projects included programming, system design and information systems consulting services.
At Liberty Technology Advisors, Mr. Schneider has:
- For a mid-sized Manufacturer, prepared an information systems plan, documented the company’s business requirements, evaluated and assisted in the selection of an integrated manufacturing and financial system, negotiated the contracts and managed the implementation of the system for an international manufacturer and distributor of food service equipment.
- For a Manufacturer, Joel was responsible for preparing a technology plan, evaluating and selecting a new ERP solution and led the implementation of the ERP solution. Also was responsible for moving the company (including its operations and systems) from Rancho Cucamonga, California to El Paso, Texas and Juarez, Mexico.
- Managed and performed a series of projects for a distributor of corrugated boxes and packaging goods. Projects included the development of a strategic information systems plan, prepared a request for proposal, evaluated the responses to the request for proposal, selected the vendor, negotiated the contracts and managed the implementation of the complete distribution and financial system.
- Prepared a corporate reorganization for a plastics manufacturer and assisted in the implementation of the new corporate structure. Additionally, designed new manufacturing and distribution systems for this multi-plant organization.
- Developed an information systems plan, prepared a request for proposal, evaluated the responses to the request for proposal, selected the vendor, negotiated the contracts and managed the implementation of a complete distribution, service management and financial system for a national distributor of printing presses.
- Developed a marketing information system for a manufacturer of liquid/solid separation equipment.
- Re-engineered and led the turn around of a manufacturer and software developer of cost recovery systems. Managed the information systems planning process, the implementation of corporate-wide information systems and directed the outsourcing of the manufacturing segment of the business.
Joel has a Bachelor of Science from Bradley University in Business Management and Adminstration and a minor in Computer Science. Joel is married, has two children and lives in Deerfield, Illinois. Joel is a director of the Western Golf Association and the Evans Scholars Foundation, a member of the Board of Directors at Ravinia Green Country Club and member of the executive committee. Joel enjoys golf, travel and fitness.
