ERP Software Evaluation and Selection

The objective of a software selection project is choosing a vendor that meets your existing business requirements and will support your business as it grows.  Software selection process requires:

  • Key management participation

  • Communicating the need and plan for change through the organization

  • Redesigning business processes and obtaining “buy-in” from the business functions

  • Good understanding of the business goals

  • Ensuring that the support processes are in place to maintain the selected software and technology

 

Software Implementation

Once the software has been selected it is time to begin the planning for the implementation.  The Software Implementation is comprised of three major phases:

  • Solution Definition (Project Initiation, Business Process Redesign, Solution Design)

  • Application Setup and Configuration (Application Setup, Application Configuration, Conference Room Pilot)

  • Implementation (Finalize Solution, Cutover)

 

Project Rescue

ERP software implementations have a greater than 50% probability of failing.  LTA is equipped to assist clients with assessing the current state of the suspect project, analyze the situation, and recommend a course of action.  A Project Rescue Assessment project consists of three major phases:

  • Gap Analysis

  • Financial Audit

  • Recommended Plan:

    • Rescue the project and/or Terminate the project
